As G expresses more and more of himself, some of the things he says are things I would want to remember. Like the other day…and I dont remember the context, out of the blue he tells me

‘It’s not easy being a boy, mama’.

I think this had more to do with him being very aware that he is different from me, as in he is a boy and not a girl or woman like his mama.

We went out to the farm a week ago and he took his bike. After biking to the farm, we decided to hike up a creek and do some ‘fishing’. That part was walked (about .7 mile up and same distance down). When we get back to the farm, G has these words for me.

‘Mama, its not easy to walk, but it’s easy to ride a bike!’

My little boy is growing up.
