One really simple way to get rid of bad habits is to make them very very hard to do. Unfortunately with the invention of the browser, it has become too easy to switch from topic to topic to topic without lingering on any subject at all. One of the suggestions to starting habits is to spend small amounts of time doing them, for example if you want to cultivate a habit of writing everyday, just try to set up 5 mins each day when you write. After those 5 minutes you can stop doing it if you dont want to. I’ve decided I am going to try this. Maybe I will be able to write more that way.
